savour is a dating app community designed specifically for supernatural beings residing in new york city - mostly unnoticed with most humans unaware of their existence. we believe in fostering a collaborative atmosphere! just like you, we’re all juggling busy lives and don’t want to bear the entire burden of maintaining a vibrant community as moderators. our goal is to minimize our workload because we understand that this is often what leads to moderator burnout. it’s common for everyone to expect mods to handle all the heavy lifting in addition to their regular responsibilities. we envision a community where both moderators and members actively participate. we’re looking for individuals who are eager to engage, contribute, and create activities rather than just waiting for others to take the initiative.

supernatural character rules: we embrace a wide variety of species, and there’s no strict lore you need to adhere to. why shouldn’t a vampire inspired by the true blood universe interact with one that resembles the buffy the vampire slayer version? there’s plenty of room for your characters to discover and learn about the unique traits of different species in-character. it’s important that your characters are original: we don’t permit the use of established figures from lore or mythology. for instance, while you can introduce a fallen angel or a demon, characters like lucifer or lilith are off-limits. feel free to invent your own! we generally welcome vampires, werewolves, ghosts, demons, witches, warlocks, zombies, sirens and more, as long as they have some sort of wiki or fan-wiki page. humans are also allowed, but we’ll keep an eye on the numbers to ensure balance. we do not allow gods/deities.

evil/problematic creatures: demons, devils, succubi, wendigo etc. are all generally doused with problematic mythology. we allow writers to have their characters shed those aspects to make their characters their own. for example: if someone brings a kappa, that doesn't mean they'll yank people in the water to drown them.

character limit: We kindly ask that you limit your participation to no more than two characters at a time. We think that most individuals can manage two characters quite well, but there are a few who tend to bring five or more into communities without actively engaging with all of them. We would prefer that you concentrate on being very active with just one or two characters at most.

joining process: please use an ooc character journal! Make sure to create both an in-character and an OOC post, and set them to friends-only, ensuring they aren’t public. Your OOC post should include essential character details like their name, birthdate, age, species, and occupation. we want to see a description of your character's personality and/or background of at least 150-500 words.

activity requirements: It's important to make sure you update at least once a month with whatever you'd like to share, and you should also engage with the front page by commenting on intros and posts at least every 7 days. If it seems like you're just going through the motions and not actively participating on the friends page, it could result in your removal.

supernatural meets sol - we know with many supernatural communities the expectations is that there will be public threading, etc. this is not the case and we'd rather stick to the sol rule of thumb with this so please keep all threads and writing (narratives being the exception) in private customs.

the dating app, smut, etc. savour is the dating app your characters turn to for hook-ups and dates, and yes, it does lean a bit towards the smutty side. However, it’s important to note that we don’t prioritize smut to the extent that character development takes a backseat or that your sole focus is on writing explicit content. Characters should also engage in friendships, and it’s essential to have genuine conversations where sexual topics don’t overshadow every interaction. This can sometimes create discomfort, so it’s crucial to be respectful and ensure that any NSFW content is shared only with consent, whether in-character or out-of-character. Violating this guideline will lead to immediate removal, and any NSFW material on the friends page must be clearly labeled.
